Funco’s Chad and Garrett George Chase Rookie of the Year Titles

Funco Motorsports’ driver, Chad George, will campaign new colors this racing season in the #42 Discount Tire / Traxxas / Yokohama Pro-Lite Unlimited; and will debut this weekend at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona for the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) opener. Chad’s teammate & cousin, Garrett George, will round-out the short-course duties while contending in the fierce Pro-Buggy Unlimited class with his #71 FUNCO / Anenberg / Yokohama race machine.

After a sweep of last year’s podium in Ultra4’s biggest event, King Shocks once again returned to the top of the podium at the grueling race, with driver Raul Gomez conquering the event for the first time and taking home $67,000 for the victory, plus a $25,000 cash award from King Shocks. After earning the #1 plate in 2020 by winning the Best in the Desert Overall Points Championship, Kevin Thompson and Harley Letner have picked up right where they left off in the first quarter of the 2021 race season. Beginning with overall wins at BITD’s Parker 425 and Silver State 300, Concrete Motorsports has now added a third win in a row by claiming the top spot at Legacy Racing’s inaugural two-day Baja Nevada by nearly three and half minutes over King Shocks teammate, #38 Eric Hustead.
