FIGSPEED #4478 Ultra 4 Finishes Strong at Stampede

The 2010 Ultra 4 Stampede in Reno Nevada presented by Hammer King Productions and Exit 28 Motorsports (104,000 acres of private land) did not disappoint racers or spectators. The Lucas Oil – Figspeed #4478 was racing in remembrance of the Americans that lost there lives on September 11th. They started in 42nd position in the 52 car field for the 3-lap, 20-mile loop, a 10 hour timed event of extreme rock crawling and desert racing.
Driver Les Figueroa along side co-driver Joe Thompson completed the first lap with no “roll over’s or flats” gaining 14 positions from 42nd to 28th. On lap 2, at the Lucas Oil – Figspeed pit stop that was orchestrated by crew chief Jimmy Robinson, the crew who were on their toes, found a cracked upper link mount. Crew member Colin White quickly prepped and welded the broken mount with the help of Creighton @ the Maxxis race trailer. The Lucas Oil – Figspeed #4478 was back on the course for their final lap once again gaining positions one by one.
